FAITH, BELIEVE HOYAS!

Hoyanation and friends, I'm sitting back thinking about my Hoyas, and it's all positive thoughts.  No matter what anyone says, I can never have anything negative to say about my team because I'm "truly" a Georgetown Hoyas.  Even when it seems things are going wrong, I still think positive.  The way I'm thinking for every negative there's a positive, so why keep elaborating on the negative.  I think the one we as Hoya fans have to do is keep everything in perspective.  First off, our Hoyas are college students, and secondly, basketball players.  They also are great people.  These young men have dreams just like anyone of us ever had.  As I know it, from dreaming, playing, and coaching the game, I truly love it.  So, I know the Hoyas feel this way too.  I know lots of people have "high expectations" for our Hoyas, and so do they.  To have these expectations is okay as long as they keep it in everything in "perspective."  Another words, let's the boys be boys.

But to go as far to talk negatively about our team is not the answer especially if you're a "TRUE" Hoya fan.  True fans know the problems, but find solutions through positivity to help the Hoyas uplift themselves.  As I learned in church, the saying goes, "if you're going to look down a man, then look down on him to lift him up."   This saying should go true for our Hoyas.  When they're down they know it, so they don't have to be reminded so negatively.  What they need is for "EACH" and "EVERYONE" to clap it up and lift them up. 

I read on some of these Hoya talkboards and you wouldn't think that some of these folks were Hoya fans.  Some, not all, of these "so called" fans talk very negatively about our coach, team and individual players.  This is not good at all.  Unfortunately, most of these folks are adults.  But, I think they are adults trying to live their dreams through these young men, and I don't think that's a wise thing to do.  I think the wisest and fun thing to do is sit back, enjoy, cheer and watch these Hoyas grow right before our very eyes.  I think this a lot funner to do.  After all I couldn't wait until the season started, so either way I'm gonna have fun win or lose.  I'm just saying, I'm a "true Hoya fan for life."
If you ever noticed during the game when the Hoyas are struggling Coach Thompson III, is constantly clapping his hands trying to lift him team, and we should do the same also during and after the game for them to know we have their back also. 

This would in turn inspire them for their next outing.  This is what makes the game of basketball so fun, the ups and down of our team and how they overcome obstacles through adversity.  This is what is so "special" about the game we so dearly love.  If we can let's have lots more "ENCOURAGEMENT" and "POSITIVE" feedback even if things don't our way.  Let's do it for our mighty Georgetown Hoyas because:
