The Hoya Dream Season is here and the Hoyas are ready to Roll Whit It!

I feel funktified, Hoyafied, joyafied, exciteafied, hypetified and happyfied!  I was listening to this ole skool gogo song Roll Whit It by a D.C. Legendary GoGo Band  and the word they used was "funktified", so I just added more "fied" words to it, LOL.  Check out the youtube song and the words haha.

Hoyanation and friends, do you feel funktified, say, I feel funktified. The "Hoya Dream Season" is about to begin and the Hoyas are ready to Roll Whit It.  I love my D.C. GoGo MuSiC!  We have to remember our Hoya motto D.C. Is Our Playground.  This season I'll be putting more gogo music on my blog in a tribute to the Hoyas and D.C.

The Hoyas roll into the season with their first out of conference game against a familiar foe on the road against the Old Dominion Monarchs of the Colonial Athletic Association Conference.  The Monarchs are coming off of two exhibition wins against Virginia State University and Elizabeth City State U.

The Hoyas had two scrimmages against Virginia Tech and James Madison U.  I'm sure the Hoyas fared well against the ACC and CAA teams.  The Hoyas have lost two games at home and have beaten the Monarchs at their venue once.

Coach Blaine Taylor on Georgetown, "I'm not sure there's a tougher opener than this one,'' ODU coach Blaine Taylor said. "But we're a good matchup for them. We're kind of like a Big East team. We're big and athletic. We can play with the big and athletic teams in the Big East, the beauty parlor teams in the ACC and the speed teams in the Big 12. It's the Big Ten that has given us trouble with their size, length and athleticism.''

Coach Blaine Taylor credits Georgetown coach John Thompson III for continuing the series a second time and of course his willingness to open up his season on the road.  "They play a Big East brand of basketball, Thompson said.  We've got a veteran team, and I'll be interested to see how we respond. There are no soft spots on the schedule.'   I wanted to test our team, Coach Thompson said. This team needs to be tested.''

The Hoyas have worked extremely hard all summer to get ready for this very important road game.  It will indeed be a great test for a great team.  I'm sure the Hoyas will attack with a "sense or urgency" right off the bat.  Hoyanation and friends we will cheer our mighty Hoyas and start this Hoya Dream Season with a bang because WE ARE GEORGETOWN!   HOYAS ARE GONNA ROLL WHIT IT!
