The Hoyas (2-0) travel to Charleston, South Carolina not for a vacation but to take care of business in the 3rd Annual Charleston Classic 2010.  The Hoyas have past their first two tests and are looking forward tp passing the 3rd test to win the tournament championship, but know the Hoyas must take things step by step to get to the championship round and win.  Due to illness senior center Julian Vaughn is not expected to play on Thursday.

After a brillant game against Tulane at junior Henry Sims at the position should step in just fine for the Hoyas on Thursday.  Their first game will be against the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (2-1).  The Chanticleers are coming off two big wins against Piedmont and LaGrange colleges by big margins, but lost their last game to the College of Charleston 83-67.

Junior guard Desmond Holloway is leading Coastal Carolina in scoring with 18.3 points per game while adding 7.3 rebounds. The transfer, in his first season with the Chanticleers, scored a season-high 24 points on 8-of-16 shooting Tuesday.

Georgetown is 5-0 against Coastal Carolina.  The teams most recently met in 2003 with the Hoyas winning 81-68.  The winner will face either South Carolina Upstate or Wofford in the second round.
