Post game thoughts Hoyas 90-63 win vs. Kansas State U

Senior leader Markel Starks nice and low the ground where he most dangerous

Back In Stride Again

The decision's were easy, get the ball down low, attack. The guard play was outstanding today they combined for 52 of 90 points today. Hoyas win in Puerto Rico 90-63. Senior Markel Starks 11 pts. 8 assts. 2 turnovers. Sophomore D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera 6-9 fg's 4-5 3's 25 pts. 9-9 free throws.

Junior Jabril Trawick was 6-7 fg's 4-6 free throws added 16 pts., 3 stls.,
3 rebs. Super guards didthey're thing today. They did a terrific job of feeding the post at will this should be done consistently on a game by game basis.

Hoyas shot 33-54 61.1% fg's, 6-13 3's 42%, 18-22 81.8% free throws. Kansas State U outrebounded the Hoyas 34-28. Hoyas 19 assists, KSU 6, so I guess this made up for the Hoyas rebounding lol. Hey, I'll take it. Mikeal Hopkins look dominant off of the bench as well today scoring 8 pts., 6 rebs., 2 blks. 3 assists. Shout out to senior Moses Ayegba 4 pts., 3 blocks way to hold it down for Big Joshua Smith while he was in foul trouble defensively. Nice patient move to the basket as well.

When you have legit big man it's starts right there from point guard to post first look. Today was a great day to watch the Hoyas they were aggressive, patient and played with poise. They never looked back.

They stayed up. They never lost a lead. There were a couple of turnovers under the six minute mark but the Hoyas maintained the composure. Great to see them overcome adversity from one day to the next. The Hoyas never looked back.

The Hoyas also got 20 pts. 6 blocks, 11 rebounds, 8 assists from the bench this is very key. Good job!

Hoyas first half was nice here are the stats from halftime:
