NO QUITTER, GO GETTER
It's "redemption" time for the Hoyas (8-1) as they seek to get a home win against Appalacian State Mountaineers. Hoyanation and friends, the Hoyas are coming off of a tough loss on the road against the Temple Owls. The game was all I thought it would be and some. Very close! Of course, I didn't like the outcome, but as they say that's the way the ball bounces. All this game did is make the Hoyas more focused and tougher in knowing they can come back and win. It's all about overcoming adversity in the time of need, and I think the Hoyas are up and ready for the challenge. “That was a real tough atmosphere,” guard Chris Wright said. “Our league is the same way, so I think a loss like this will help us.”
Appalachian State (3-3) will be Georgetown’s sixth opponent picked to win its conference or a division within its conference this season, so this team is no cupcake either. The Hoyas will come out focused with energy and play with a "sense of urgency." Leading scorers for both teams are Austin Freeman (Hoyas) at 19.4 pts. Donald Sims (Mountaineers) at 27.0 pts. The Mountaineers have had some quality wins this season against Samford, Tulsa and Montreat, whoever Montreat is, lol. Their losses came from Vanderbilt, Chatanooga and a 2 point loss to SEC Mississippi State.

Hoyanation, if part of the "Hoya Dream Season" is about overcoming "adversity", then I can deal with it because that's what life is all about for most, "overcoming the odds."
By the ay Hoyanation and friends I"m here at the National High School Showcase at DeMatha High School about to watch our future Hoya Mikael Hopkins in action. I'll let everyone know how he does in my next blog after the Hoya game Sunday evening. I also tweeted/facebook the game, so you can go back and check it out.
