I guess you could say this was another tough test on the road  in a hostile environment for the Hoyas (8-1).  Their test came up short by 3 points.  At tipoff, Temple (6-2) came out of the gates quickly on the Hoyas scoring 3 straight baskets.  After, Georgetown came roaring and was only down by one point early in the game.  Georgetown played from behind the whole first half, but never gave up, still grinding through Temple's rough terrain of defense with the score at the half Temple 39-32 .

The Hoyas were still grinding through Temple's rough terrain of defense.  The Hoyas did a great job of rebounding in the first half on the defensive end not allowing the Owls second chance baskets, but it was the turnovers on the offensive end in the first half that hurt the Hoyas.

The second half was exhilerating with the two teams going back, but with Hoyas still remained behind until  Chris Wright stole a pass and scored on a fastbreak layup.  Then Wright made two free throws to tie it at 56.  Ramon Moore, who scored a career game high 31 pts., answered back with a 3 point dagger wide open in the left corner to put his team up 59-56.  “I try not to let the big stage faze me,” Moore said. “I’ve always been calm playing basketball. I’ve been doing it my whole life.”  The Hoyas and Owls battle back and forth, with the Owls Rahlir Jefferson scoring on a putbback to put his team up 61-56.  Hoyas' Julian Vaughn and Chris Wright stepped up and came within one point 66-65.  Owl's Fernandez missed a 3 with the shot clock expiring, and the Hoyas got the rebound with 15 seconds left.

Chris Wright pushing the ball up the court and passed the ball to Hollis Thompson giving Georgetown a chance to win it at the end but Thompson’s shot rimmed out and the Owls grabbed the rebound.  Austin Freeman fouled with 2 seconds and the Owls made two free throws to end the game.  Jason Clark lead the Hoyas with 15 points.  “That was a real tough atmosphere,” Wright said. “Our league is the same way, so I think a loss like this will help us.”  I think so, a "TOUGH" loss like this early during the season on the road in a hostile enviornment can only make the Hoyas "TOUGHER!"
